My favourite: Croatia

What an amazing place, absolutely breath taking!

We stayed in an amazing hotel which really completed the experience for us, with a private beach, bar  & great atmosphere. The best part was walking down the stairs built on the Cliff and jumping straight into the ocean! WOW. If you're a beach lover like me, you wouldn't be able to think of anything more amazing! Rixos Hotel, is the name!

Other musts include; walking the Old Town Walls, cable car to the top of the city, experiencing the night life, kayak (when the water is calm to avoid falling out!) & a day trip to the island, Mljet!

OH and swim swim swim!

Paris....

So to let's be honest, Paris was not on the top of the list but I just had to include it. It was beautiful, amazing to see but probably wouldn't go back. I do recommend a visit though for at least three days!
How I'd do it if I could do it again.... One day to settle in and see main attractions, another to get comfortable and explore the city and lastly you can not miss DISNEY LAND. Yep, I'm a Disney sucker! Photo's definitely don't do it justice, we stayed for 11 hours and seriously felt like kids again. It's a must see!
I loved the Eiffel tour & Notre Dame (amazing detail & patterns), very beautiful in person! Take time to explore the city by foot where you can.

Love & travels,
Adriana.

P.S I have travel bug!

Next stop...

I'll skip over to our most loved places for you.
Next stop; Lisbon, Portugal!

So very underrated, we just loved it here! I will be going back one day for sure. The people, the sights, the atmosphere, the food, all amazing!

Favourite beach spot, Cascais.
All our other favourite sights were seen on Yellow Cab TT tours. This is a small company that drive you around in a yellow ATV with a small group of 6-8 people. The guides are fun and know a lot about the city, taking us to destinations we never would have ventured out to alone. A favourite stop being, Sintra! The castles and palaces are like none other.
Be sure to get immersed in the culture, and locals whilst visiting as they really make the experience even greater!

Europe planning...

Ah! As most of you would know I've just visited Europe and it was AH-mazing! Instead of giving you a HUUGE spiel on how it all was and what you should do if planning to visit the destinations or if you are just generally interested in travel I will give you my top few tips for each city. So, a smaller huge spiel ;).
In total we visited around 8 countries & 14 cities, it was a lot to fit into 6 weeks. So I will post it broken up over a few posts in the next week or so. Hope the tips are helpful and you enjoy! All images were taken by me on our trip (of a life time)!

Stop number 1: Barcelona, Spain
FAVOURITE CITY, a must visit destination.

1. The castle at the top of the city, you can reach it by cable car & the views are crazy amazing!
Easiest way to see & get to these icons was going on the open air city tour buses!
2. Out door food markets, try heaps of different food & soak up the atmosphere!
3. Barcelonetta, of course. The main beach strip, with great food & cocktails.
4. The Gothic Quarters, every turn has something amazing to marvel at.
5. Personal favourite, The magic fountain of Montjuic. Photos do not do it justice, it's breath taking.

*in order of images.

Quote...

This is actually a quote I heard Will.i.am say on the voice (How lame, I know!) but very fitting in both the music and fashion industry. When I heard him say this it really resonated with me and it couldn't be more true. So, I thought I'd share it with you.

I know I haven’t blogged much of late amongst trying to fit everything in, but when I do have something to say or show you of importance I'll be sure to pop it here in hopes you can enjoy it.

I constantly find myself trying to figure "it" out, find some peace in what I'm doing. I guess everybody is. And then the moment I do, the moment it gets a little easier or I complete that task; I'm searching for my next challenge, the next adventure, questioning myself how I can take it all further. This is exhausting at times, frustrating even. But It is the only way I have made it this far, and it’s all because;
"As soon as you're comfortable, you're sleeping."

In saying all this I'd like to say such a HUUUUUGE, THANK YOU! To all of you!

I feel like I'm coming to the end of a chapter, I have spent the the first half of this year opening this business, my label, 'Mickey Rose’ from scratch and now I am about to jet set around the world. (WOW!) All this couldn't have happened without you guys. So I’m taking this as a time to reflect and be grateful for how it has all happened so far. There have been many tears, break downs and days of just being plain exhausted but I made it to the half way mark of the year as a business owner, and wouldn’t have it any other way. I hope you can all stay on board while I venture the globe, and I'll hopefully have an awesome post reflecting my inspirations of Europe upon my return.

When I return to reality (which I don’t really want to think about just yet) I look forward to bringing you more of Mickey Rose and what we are all about. More designs, collections, inspiration, I just can’t wait to bring you... more! All in good time so keep watching and enjoying the journey of Mickey Rose.

Keeping it real- x

Happy travels!

H A R L O W dress...

Last week we did our first Fashion shoot for the launch of the first Dress; Simple Skater dress, Harlow. It was exciting, stressful & breath taking to see my work come to life...

This is a bigger snippet of the photoshoot, we wanted it to tell a story of Adventure, that this is a dress you can be a child in, that you can run, jump and play in. The adorable mini model Pheonix really captured this, along side my amazing photographer, Nicole Williams Photography.

And that's a wrap...

With love, Mickey Rose. x
