January Mix up, Looks I Love...

Almost the end of Jan and just getting in there with some "Looks I love" for this month! I have mixed it up this time around with girls and boys, summer and winter. Because, well, why not!

Welcome to 2014, hope it's been kind thus far! I have taken a few weeks off sewing, business and all things a like over the festive period to try and re activated my over worked brain! Hope you got to do this as well! But I am back and can not wait to enlighten you with my journey this year...

I have been getting lots of lovely, caring people asking questions about where I am at with Mickey Rose and what's next! At the moment & in the close future a lot of focus has been placed on behind the scenes work, lots to research and lots to think about in this time but the not-so-exciting-stuff for you guys! On the more exciting side of life in the next few weeks I will have labels to show you, some sampling and more lovely things to post and update you with.

So a big thank you to every ones kind words, interest and encouragement through this daunting but exciting time. Stay on board and watch this space!

December Edition... Summer Special...

I've been taking a little break, giving some time back to me! At least til about mid Jan but thought I would leave you with a little Summer Post! Looks that I am adoring and that I have collected over the past few weeks, to inspire me! & hopefully you as well. 

Mickey Rose can not wait to offically lauch in 2014!

Final Garment photoshoot...

The long awaited finish of my degree in fashion design and technology. This is my final garment for the year, my graduating piece! The garment would be part of my spring/summer 2014 collection, "Gyspy Jetsetter". A range heavily influence by the life of someone travelling the world, a boho lover, a yoga lover, and an adventurer. I wanted to use bold rich colours, beautiful fabric and have an attention to detail through line work and silhouette. 

This garment is a full length jumpsuit, made from canary orange crepe, the top is formed by 9 panel pieces, fully faced and lined, the bottom of the jumpsuit features side cowls to create the flow of the fabric and then tapering into the ankle. There are always things you could do better or changes that you could make but overall I am happy with my piece & I hope you can all enjoy...

I have been searching in hope to find some beautiful designs to share with you all for the November edition of " Look I Love." This time around I have focused on adorable little flat lays of fashion outfits for tiny fashionistas. I get so inspired looking at the amazing designs out there and also starts to give me as well as you guys an idea of the type of children's wear designer I will become...
